Home Moving

Same-city house shifting in Pakistan usually takes a day if the lift and the society gate are open. A move between cities such as Islamabad or Lahore and Karachi is more than a thousand kilometres, so the truck is on the road for two or three days. Here is how to plan the timeline. It…

A moving day with children or a pet in the same rooms as the crew is how a carton is opened, a dog runs into the street, and a toddler sits on the stairs while a fridge is coming down. The job is not to keep them “busy.” The job is to keep them out…

Before loading day, pay only a small advance to hold the date, and pay the rest when your goods are delivered and checked. Paying the whole bill upfront to a number you have not verified is how families lose both the money and the furniture. Here is how much to pay and when. It is…

If something is damaged, speak while the truck is still at the door. A week later nobody can honestly say whether the scratch came from the stairs or from the new house. The useful record is a photo and a line on the delivery paper, written the same day. This is a practical note, not…

The survey is the visit, or the video, that stops the quote from changing on the day. It is not a formality. If the surveyor did not see the access, you do not have a survey. You have a guess. Show the sofa and the stair on the survey, then pack it properly: how to…

Sending a car to another city is not a line on the house-shifting quote. The vehicle needs its own space on a carrier, its own condition notes, and a delivery address where someone can receive it. Putting it “with the furniture” is how a bumper argument starts. Leaving from Karachi? Read car carrier services from…

A moving quote changes on loading day when the truck arrives and the house does not match the phone description. The usual surprises are a fourth floor with no lift, a sofa that will not turn on the landing, a store room nobody mentioned, and a street where the truck cannot stop. Marsoos treats a…
