How long international cargo takes from Pakistan

The cargo questions that come up under “international cargo services in Islamabad,” Karachi, and Lahore are the same three: how many days, how much per kilo, and which papers. A competitor page will print a rate. That figure is a starting line for their file, not a Marsoos price list, and it is not yours until someone has weighed the boxes. This article answers the search without inventing a rupee amount.

Published 6 October 2026. Air is the faster, dearer path. Sea is the slower, cheaper path for furniture. The earlier air-or-sea note on this site is the choice. This one is the clock, and the way airlines charge.

Transit time is only half the wait. Why cargo from Pakistan sits at the port after arrival.

How long air cargo usually takes

A flight from Islamabad, Lahore, or Karachi to the Gulf can be a matter of days once the goods are accepted. The UK is often closer to one or two weeks door to door when customs are quiet. The USA, Canada, and Australia are often two to three weeks, sometimes longer. Those are typical windows people hear in this market, not a guarantee. The airline, the destination holiday, and a missing paper all sit on top of the flying time.

“Door to door” includes pickup in Pakistan, packing, the airport, customs at both ends, and delivery. Airport-to-airport is only the flying part. If nobody is at the UK or US address on a weekday, the last days are waiting, not flying.

How long sea cargo usually takes

Sea freight from Karachi is counted in weeks. The Gulf is the shorter sea picture. Europe, the UK, and North America are longer. A groupage box waits for other cargo to fill the container. A full container leaves when your volume justifies it. Ask which one you are buying. A slogan of “seven days by sea” is not a plan.

Why the kilo price is not the scale on your kitchen

Air cargo is billed on chargeable weight: whichever is higher, the real weight or the size of the box converted to kilos. A light, bulky carton of pillows can cost like a heavy carton of books. That is why a phone quote of “seventeen hundred a kilo” without the carton sizes is a guess. Sea cargo is often billed on cubic metres, not on kitchen-scale kilos.

Marsoos does not publish a fake table to outbid another site. Send the destination city, the Pakistani pickup city, and photos of the pieces. Cargo is +92 333 5371111. The Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi cargo pages are the right local starting points. Personal-effects papers are covered in the documents article. Mixing shop goods into a household list is how a file stops.
