Air freight or sea freight from Pakistan

Air freight and sea freight solve different problems. Air is for a small shipment that has to arrive in a set week. Sea is for volume: a household of furniture, a commercial lot, or anything that would be absurd as excess baggage.

When air is the right conversation

Use air when the dates are fixed and the weight is limited. Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot can be the departure, but only if an airline will take the pieces on a useful flight. A city with an airport is not the same thing as a booked uplift.

Clothes, documents you can risk putting in cargo, samples, and a small student move are the usual air jobs. A full set of furniture is rarely one.

When sea is the right conversation

Sea freight is packed in the Pakistani city and handed over in Karachi. The quote should say that road leg out loud if you live in Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, or a smaller division. Groupage and a full container are different prices. The survey says which one the volume supports.

Transit by sea is slower. Ask the office what the carrier has indicated, and treat that as the carrier’s window, not a promise against a port delay. Nobody honest will sell you a seven-day container as a certainty.

One list for the household, another for cargo

Personal effects and commercial goods do not share a vague inventory. Wooden crating is for the pieces that cannot ride in a carton. Islamabad has a crating page because that job is common there. Other cities use the same rule: if it can shatter or bend, it needs a plan before it sees a warehouse.

One more thing to settle

Bring the destination city, not only the country. “UK” and “London, third floor, no lift” produce different plans. If you are in a division away from the port, ask for the road leg to be written as its own line. Families in Multan, Quetta, Sukkur, and Gilgit are not starting from Karachi, and the quote should not pretend that they are.
